SOMETIMES LOVE DOESN’T CHANGE THE WORLD. SOMETIMES IT CHANGES ALL OF THEM.

It’s too bad they must hide behind a facade of icy indifference to fool those who are determined to keep demons and humans apart...by any means necessary. There is more at stake than bringing the miracle of rain back to Eriis. It's not just sand and lost royals poised to come through the newly-opened Door. Something ancient is hungry, and fat, complacent Mistra won't stand a chance. Even worse, whispers and shadows speak of blood magic that could destroy not just The Door, but all Doors—forever—barring the way home for lovers and enemies alike. Will the love Rhuun and Lelet have moved worlds to share be the very thing they must sacrifice to save their worlds?

Full of her signature blend of exquisite world-building, sly humor, and poignant prose, The River King is the gripping conclusion to Kim Alexander's critically-acclaimed Demon Door saga.

The Stones of Earth and Air (Elemental Worlds Book 1): An Epic #Fantasy Novel by V.M.Sang

I was born and grew up in a village in the county of Cheshire in the UK. I had a good childhood. There were woods to play in and blackberries and other fruit to gather in the right season. With many good friends, I enjoyed a freedom few children have nowadays.

I started writing seriously when I retired. Prior to that, I had begun writing what eventually became my first novel, The Wolf Pack, but didn’t have time to finish it while I was working. I now have six novels and a recipe book published, and a seventh almost ready.

As well as fantasy and historical novels, I also write poetry but haven’t had any published. My poetry is of the traditional kind, not like the modern ones, that I describe as prose broken into lines. (Sorry any modern poets out there!)

In my free time, I enjoy walking, and also such crafts as card making, cross-stitch, crochet, and tatting. I paint and also play the piano. Well, actually, a synthesiser my son gave me as he now has a newer one! Cooking is another of my ‘hobbies’ and I like trying new recipes.

About the Book

Pettic notices that his friend, the Crown Prince of Ponderia, is behaving out of character. Where he once was kind, he is now cruel, where he was once thoughtful, he is now inconsiderate.

With the help of the court magician, Blundel, he discovers the Prince has been kidnapped and a doppelganger put in his place. To rescue him, Pettic has to enter four realms, each associated with one of the four elements, and retrieve a gem. The catch is that he cannot return without it. The 'gate' will not open.

Can he manage to find the gems? And how will he convince others which of the two identical men is the real prince?

Husker: A #Horror Novel by Marc W. Johnson

My love of horror and science fiction in both the written word and movie began with my mother who loved them as well.  It was instilled in my fragile psyche at the tender age of five although, I did not know it at the time.  She took me in our Black Ford Fairlane to see Romero’s Night of the Living Dead at the local drive-in.  To this day I remember cowering in the backseat asking “is it day yet, is it day yet?”  Mom and I had some belly laughs about that for many years before the bell tolled and called her home.  The nightmares eventually subsided and as my childhood moved on I found myself drawn to all things scary and scifi.  Luckily, she had books by Phillip K. Dick, Isaac Asimov and Harlan Ellison among many others just hanging around the house.  I soon found the depraved minds of King and Koontz to my liking and of course other writers as well.  It wasn’t long that I became a fan of Hammer Studios and actors like Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Vincent Price and the lists could go on.  Suffice to say, I was hooked.  In my teens I began to write short stories and poems, some of which I had updated and you can find in my first book “A Collection of Dark Short Stories and Poetry.”  However, life happens and I had to put away such dreams, until after mom passed and found an old stained and tattered story of mine in a box in her garage, it was then that I felt the barest little warmth begin to surge within me.  It took a while for me to understand what it was, it was mom letting me know I could still have my dream.

About the Book

As a young teenager, running away after her mother died and never returning home, Jennifer Rollins’ fear of forfeiting her mind to the schizophrenia that took her mother has followed Jennifer throughout her life. Jennifer got some lucky breaks. She became a popular model, but her fears, and lifestyle in the fast lane finally take their toll. While Jennifer is recovering she receives news of her father’s brutal murder and comes home. Jennifer’s true nightmare begins. As she reconnects with old friends and her beau from high school, Jennifer sees horrific images, hears terrifying things and is sure her worst fears are now manifesting. While grappling with her sanity, Jennifer is convinced the killer is coming for her after, hidden away in the attic of her childhood home, she discovers a connection to the murders from the distant past. When she takes it to the police, knowing her much-publicized history they dismiss her. As the police believe they are closing in on the maniac, and Jennifer wrestles with her demons, neither have a clue of the true horror about to descend.

Both have grown tired of the god’s odd punishments and lazy control, taking over his throne and the land of the dead should fix things.

Door and Other Twisted Tales: A #Fantasy #ShortStory Collection by Catherine McCarthy

Catherine McCarthy grew up in the valleys of South Wales where she went on to teach for almost three decades. She was inspired to write from a young age, having fallen in love with story-telling after being ‘shown the light’ by her mother who had the tradition of oral story-telling down to a fine art.

Her most recent publication is a collection of short stories for adults entitled Door and other twisted tales which explores the darker side of magical realism. An absolute joy to write, the collection visits a variety of locations and incidents throughout history and imagines them affected by supernatural forces or creatures of myth.

Her other published works include Hope Cottage, a dark and mysterious family saga of triumph over adversity, the proceeds of which she donates to thebraintumourcharity.org in memory of her mother, and The Gatekeeper’s Apprentice, a fantasy adventure for middle-grade children.

Her current work in progress is a magical realism novel in which the main character is a young girl with Down’s syndrome and big ambitions.

She now lives with her husband in an inspirational old Welsh cottage in West Wales where she writes, reads, sews and walks the wonderful coast path.

Catherine believes that storytelling is probably the oldest and wisest art form known to man, though to make it compelling, it needs to be crafted with a bit of magic.

Hamartia: A #ScienceFiction #Thriller Novel by Raquel Rich

Raquel Rich is a full-time sci-fi author and occasional blogger. She loves to travel, suntan, walk her dog, and is obsessed with all things Beauty & the Beast. She despises cold weather, balloons, and writing about herself in the third person but noticed all the real authors do that. Born and raised in Canada to Brazilian parents, she lives in the Toronto area with her family. She's married to the guy she’s been with since she was fifteen (her baby daddy). Her superpowers include being a mom to their two awesome grown-ass boys and one fur baby.

About the Book

Grace’s nine-year-old son, Jordan, is dying. First, the Metagenesis disease will tear his soul from his body, and then it will kill him. Desperate for a cure, Grace agrees to take part in an illegal clinical trial cloning souls. Supported by her best friend Kay, the two embark on the ultimate “Vegas Vacation” to the past in search of the right soul to clone, racing against time to save Jordan’s life. But someone is trying to stop them and when they discover why, Grace must make a choice: let her son die or kill her husband. If she kills her husband she triggers widespread Metagenesis, sealing the fate of the human race with a new plague. Humanity is counting on Grace choosing to let her son die.
